  2. This is exciting but unfortunate timing as I just booked my tickets to Hawaii! Nonrefundable though. Lol I wonder what the difference in costs will be for those who don’t live in those 4 cities. Looks like we might have to book an extra ticket from our city to one that flies to Hawaii? Hoping this man cheaper tickets in the future! I’m sure I would want to visit again but this is my first time.

    1. Aisazia, oh no, non-refundable. Well the good news is that there is a thing called “Southwest Effect” that means when Southwest enters a market, all the airlines drop their prices. Hopefully that will be the case for next time.

    1. Yes, Tricia. This is a good time to switch. I use Southwest domestically simply because of the Companion Pass so that my spouse can travel with me. They even fly to South American and Central America, so there are lots of options.

  3. We love Southwest, and this just made us love them more! I really hope that this helps bring down the cost of flights to Hawaii, across the board. Thank you so much for sharing!

  4. Lots of great information here! Hawaii has always been on my bucket list and I was not aware of the companion pass. Thanks for sharing!

    1. Exactly, Gail. I live in Denver, so I have the same conundrum. The companion pass helps. Prices still look pretty high to get from Denver all the way to Hawaii, but I keep expecting the prices to go down soon.
