Prosperity Passenger has been nominated for the Liebster Award! As a brand new blogger, I am thrilled and honored to be recognized this way.

What is the Liebster Award?

The Liebster Awards are an Australian internet based initiative dating back to 2011. Liebster is a German word meaning sweetheart, darling, beloved or favourite. It’s a pay it forward concept where bloggers give other bloggers recognition and hopefully a little more exposure. Read more about this award and new nominees!

1. What was the first trip you took as an adult? My first trip was when I was 16 years old. My 16-year-old friend Tina and I traveled to Chicago to visit her aunt for spring break. What an eye-opener and I caught the travel bug.
2. What would you say was the greatest lesson you learned from that trip? That the Chicago River is turned green for St. Patrick’s Day parade. Haha. But seriously, that there is a whole new world out there with different cultures, different accents and that I needed to see the world.
3. Island or arctic adventure and why? Island. Sand and sun are so relaxing.
4. Where would you travel again just to enjoy the food? Spain for sure.
5. One word your friends and family use to describe your traveling spirit? Adventurous
6. Would you rather swim in the ocean or stand on the shore? Swim in the ocean.
7. Where is your most memorable sunset and why? Temple of Debod in Madrid. So majestic and magical.
8. When traveling do you prefer to share photos with family by social media or email? Social Media, for sure. I like the instant feedback. I don’t think my family uses email anymore.
9. When you travel do you plan every minute out or go with the flow? Go with the flow. You never know the adventures you can have off the planned schedule.
10. When you started your blog, what is the one thing you wish you’d known? How to be consistent and create a schedule of activities.
11. Who or what motivates you to keep blogging? Travel. I love to travel and I love to tell a story about a new place!

1. What inspired you to start blogging? I was taking a train ride through the Royal Gorge and I felt like this incredibly blessed passenger. I wanted to share that joy and prosperity with others.
2. What is your favorite time-management tip for bloggers? Set a consistent schedule and stick to it.
3. Where do you get your blogging ideas? From traveling. We take 6-8 trips a year and I’m still trying to catch up writing about all those.
4. What are your biggest blogging challenges? Being consistent.
5. What was the last gift you gave someone? a pair of shamrock socks for St. Patrick’s Day.
6. What new flavor of potato chip would you like to create? Chocolate and sea salt.
7. What are you well-known for among your family and friends? Being a goofball and disappearing to a foreign country on a whim.
8. What is something funny that has happened to you recently? I thought I was speaking spanish sufficiently and asked a guy if he wanted to have a drink. My spanish was not so good and I said “do you want to have a baby?” OOPS!
9. What is your favorite movie of all time? Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
10. What is your favorite smell? Bananas
